Sharifi has also been an associate of Ayatollah Seyyed Mustafa Khomeini, says that Imam’s elder son was decorated with great moral manner and hailed his virtues and spirit for assisting others.
He went on to say that Seyyed Mostafa Khomeini was very sensitive about the problems the seminary students were facing at that sensitive juncture of history.
He undertook very serious efforts in order to resolve the seminary students issues and took it personally, Sharifi said.
Sharifi further said that Seyyed Mostafa Khomeini rented a house for him when he and his family when they were struggling to meet ends and were not in good position economically.
Sharifi however recalled that Imam had very strict observation while protecting public funds or regarding the rules of expenditures.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Sharifi who is a Pakistani citizen and residing in the holy city of Qom, also noted that Martyr Mostafa Khomeini had played a great role in shielding and protecting Imam from foes and enemies during stay in Najaf.
He had placed special persons who used to follow Imam when he moved to deliver lecture towards Sheikh Ansari Mosque and passed through narrow streets of Najaf in order to protect him, Sharifi said. So Haj Mostafa had played a great role for protecting the great leader of the Islamic world.
Martyr Mostafa Khomeini was a brave and vigilant figure and was a source of hope for all revolutionaries during the Islamic Movement. In addition, he was the Late Imam Khomeini's trustworthy advisor.
Haj Mostafa Khomeini's martyrdom shocked the people; but at the same time their fears vanished and people's love towards Imam became public.
Imam's speech after martyrdom of his son, made Imam's spiritual grandeur more apparent.
The mysterious death of Seyyed Mostafa Khomeini, on October 23, 1977, prepared the grounds for a wave of movement by the people.
The way Imam Khomeini confronted this painful loss, as he considered to be a covert divine blessing, revealed part of the great personality of Imam. He withstood this tragedy by displaying his patience.
It is worthy to mention that Sharifi has translated several of Imam's works into Urdu language in recent years.
